Dear Daddy, Your Memory Lives on Forever...

It was Thursday, 1 August 2013, when my father passed away after succumbing to a rare disease known as Amyloidosis.

Daddy was one of the most genuine, jovial, and fun-loving persons I knew.  He was a philosopher of sorts and loved sharing his knowledge with others.  He never ignored an opportunity to help someone in need and always strove to make a difference in the lives of the people around him.  He was a very positive man and could find the good in any person or situation.  No matter where he went, or who he met, he had something good to say about it … regardless of how bad the person, or boring the situation, or vice versa.  He was a non-judgmental person who always treated people the way he wanted to be treated, and he always had a funny joke to share that made people laugh.  He was an inherently good person that left a smile on the face of anyone who met him.

Daddy was a firm believer of “spiritual rebirth,” and he understood exactly what the human transition From the Phoenix to the Eagle meant.  Rising from the ashes and mounting up with wings like eagles was a concept he could relate to well, because after all, daddy was not always in the church, and he faced his fair share of trials.

Family meant a lot to daddy, and every opportunity he had to gather with them, he would.  And he and mama made sure that my siblings and I understood the importance of family as well.  Something that we still cherish to this day.  He was an avid sports fan, and dancing was his favorite pastime … and boy could he dance!  When he and mama hit the dance floor, they would burn it up with their smooth dancing style.  They were awesome together and usually always drew a crowd … lol … fun times!

He was also a Deacon at the church and had a strong affection for the LORD.  He absolutely loved serving on the Deacon Board and took his duties seriously.  He was a proud man, a wise man, a helpful man, and there was not much that upset him … he was very even-keeled.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel each day that I am unable to hear his voice, or see his face, or hold his hand … GOD only knows how much I miss him!

But at the same time, I also have joy in knowing that he is quietly resting in everlasting peace.  He is no longer suffering.  His body is healed from head to toe, for he has been made whole, and is being comforted in the arms of our Heavenly Father!  So when I think of him, I am able to smile through my tears.

Next, to GOD, he was the most awesome man I knew, and one of my favorite persons in the world.  He was my father, and there is nothing in this world that could ever measure my love for him!

To keep him close; to remember his work, and to share his love for the GOSPEL, I dedicate this website to his memory.  For I know that he would want us to keep sharing GOD’s word with others; to keep witnessing to the less fortunate who may not know who GOD / JESUS are; and to keep encouraging hope, faith, and positive change in individuals who have given up on believing their life has a purpose, simply by helping them see that it does.  He believes that with the right guidance and through the power of prayer,  people can change … and just the same, so do I!

Hugs & Kisses Daddy…You are LOVED til the end!

Rest With GOD!
